Studland and Ballard Down

This combines a walk through a corner of what is the largest area of open heathland in Dorset, a climb to and then a walk along Ballard Down to the coast, a walk along the cliff tops, passing by the Old Harry rocks, before returning to Studland Bay.

The walk starts and ends in the National Trust South Beach car park in Studland (grid reference SZ 037825). Use OS Explorer map OL15.

Going: Moderate - a relatively steep climb up to Ballard Down.

Distance: approximately 6 miles (9.7 Km).

Pub: There is a pub in Studland.
